What this tool does
Reference Doctor finds the missing (unresolved) references of your active document and fixes them by searching a project folder for files with the same name. When there's exactly one match, the tool proposes it automatically; when there are several, you choose yourself. Nothing changes until you click Apply fixes.
How to use it
  1. Open the assembly or drawing with broken references and start Reference Doctor. The tool scans all references right away.
  2. Under Search folder, check the search folder (by default the Workspace of your Design Project) or pick a different one with Browse….
  3. Click Scan & match. In the Proposed fix column you'll see green (one match, proposed), orange (several — double-click to choose) or red (nothing found — double-click to search manually).
  4. Click Apply fixes. The tool replaces the references, saves the document and then scans again.

Tips
💡
If a restored subassembly itself still contains a missing reference, run Reference Doctor one more time.
💡
Candidates are sorted by how closely their folder path resembles the old path, so the most likely one is at the top.
