Get Drawings

Download the drawings of your assembly components from Vault, in one click.

Location in Inventor: Thundercad tab → General panel (Assembly)

What this tool does

The Get Drawings button searches Vault for the drawings belonging to the parts of your active assembly and downloads them to your local working folder. Files you already have locally are skipped.

Thundercad searches for all relevant namings: .dwg, .idw, and the company variants -SW.dwg, -EV.dwg and -EV.idw.

How to use it

Make sure the Vault client is running and you are logged in.
Open the assembly whose drawings you want to retrieve.
Click Get Drawings. Thundercad scans Vault and downloads new drawings.
The status shows, per file, whether it was already local, downloaded, or not found.

Is your drawing named differently from the standard variants? Open Vault directly for a manual download, or send us the naming convention, we'll include it in a future version.
