Place overall dimensions, hole dimensions and bend notes on a drawing view in one click.

What this tool does
Auto Dimensions dimensions a drawing view in one click: overall dimensions on every view, on parts also the hole positions with centermarks and diameters, and on flat-pattern views bend notes.
How to use it
  1. Open a drawing and, on the Drawing ribbon (Tools panel), click Auto Dimensions. Without an open drawing, Open a drawing first appears.
  2. Select the view you want to dimension; the tool prompts Select a drawing view.
  3. The dimensions are placed right away: overall dimensions on every view, plus hole dimensions and bend notes on part and sheet-metal views.

Height and width of the view — on every type of view.

Hole positions with centermarks and diameters. On part views only; on an assembly every bolt hole would otherwise get a dimension.

If nothing can be placed, the tool reports No dimensions could be placed on this view — for example on an empty or unsuitable view.

You can also have the dimensions run automatically with Auto Drawing Creator via the Overall dimensions and Hole dimensions options.
