What this tool does
Auto Dimensions dimensions a drawing view in one click: overall dimensions on every view, on parts also the hole positions with centermarks and diameters, and on flat-pattern views bend notes.
How to use it
- Open a drawing and, on the Drawing ribbon (Tools panel), click Auto Dimensions. Without an open drawing, Open a drawing first appears.
- Select the view you want to dimension; the tool prompts Select a drawing view.
- The dimensions are placed right away: overall dimensions on every view, plus hole dimensions and bend notes on part and sheet-metal views.

If nothing can be placed, the tool reports No dimensions could be placed on this view — for example on an empty or unsuitable view.
