Thundercad is a product of Cadkunde B.V. In this privacy policy we explain which personal data we process when you use Thundercad or the website thundercad.nl, why we do so, and what rights you have. The data controller is Cadkunde B.V.

2. Which data we process
Depending on how you use Thundercad, we may process the following data:
- Name
- Business email address
- Telephone number (if you provide it)
- Company name
- Login credentials (username and encrypted password)
- Account and license data (which subscription, number of users, status)
- Contact and support correspondence
- Limited technical/usage data needed to operate and secure the software
We do not process any special (sensitive) personal data.
Payment details: payments are handled by our payment provider Mollie. Full payment details (such as account or card numbers) are processed and stored by Mollie, not by us. See Mollie's privacy policy.
3. Why we process data
- To create and manage an account and give you access to Thundercad
- To carry out your subscription, licenses and payments (including automatic renewal)
- To provide support and communicate with you
- To deliver, improve and secure the software and to prevent misuse
- To comply with legal obligations (for example a record-keeping or retention obligation)
4. On what legal basis (GDPR)
- Performance of the contract: to provide you with Thundercad and the subscription
- Legal obligation: for example for tax administration
- Legitimate interest: for security, fraud prevention and improvement of the Services
- Consent: where we ask for it; you can withdraw consent at any time
5. With whom we share data
We do not sell your data. We only share data where necessary with processors and parties that help us deliver the Services, in each case under a data processing agreement:
- Mollie, for payment processing
- Vercel, for hosting of the website and the application (CDN)
- Neon, for hosting of our database
- Competent authorities, where we are legally required to do so
- A successor party, in the event of an acquisition or merger
6. Retention periods
We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purposes above or than legally required. As a guideline we apply, specifically:
- Account and license data: for as long as you have an account or subscription, and thereafter up to 6 months after termination (unless a longer period is legally required).
- Invoices and payment data: 7 years, due to the statutory tax retention obligation.
- Support and contact correspondence: up to 24 months after the last contact.
- Limited technical logs: generally no longer than 12 months.
7. Security
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; therefore use the Services in a secure environment.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Request access to your data
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have data erased
- Restrict or object to the processing
- Have your data transferred (data portability)
- Withdraw consent that you have given
You can submit a request via info@thundercad.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
9. Cookies
thundercad.nl uses only functional cookies and local storage that are necessary to make the site work. We do not use any third-party tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. Specifically:
- a session cookie (tc_session) to keep you logged in;
- a preference (tc_lang) to remember your language choice (Dutch or English).
Because these are strictly necessary, functional cookies, no consent or cookie banner is required for them.
10. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy. The current version is published on thundercad.nl with the date of the most recent change.
