What this tool does

The iProperty Panel is a dockable panel where you fill in the active document's iProperties directly, without opening Inventor's iProperty window every time.

The panel is fully customizable: add your own fields, link dropdowns to fixed value lists, link fields to other iProperties, and order them in the sequence that makes sense for your company.

How to use it

Click iProperty Panel in the ribbon. The panel appears on the right.
Fill in fields, changes are applied to the document immediately.
Click the gear to add, delete or reorder fields, or to manage dropdown values.

Fields & order

Accessible via the gear in the panel.

Add property

Add a new iProperty field (text, combobox or checkbox).

Delete property

Removes the selected field from the panel.

Order

Change the order of the fields.

Manage combobox values

Manage the allowed values per dropdown field.

Link to another property

Link a field so that a change is automatically carried over into another iProperty.

Optionally save automatically via On Save.

Save iProperties on save

Changes in the panel are made persistent on every Save.

Forces a write-out as soon as you switch to another document.

Tips

Configurations are stored locally per user. Share them via Settings → General → Export/Import.

Pull combobox values from a central file? You can do that by exporting/importing the configuration to colleagues.
